Durga Puja in Kolkata, made easier

Durga Puja (also written Durga Pujo, Durga Pooja or Durgotsav) turns Kolkata into one huge open-air gallery of pandals. Chaturthi, from Ravenex Technologies, helps you find the pandals worth your time, see how crowded they are right now, plan a pandal-hopping route and stay in touch with your group.

It is free, works in English and Bangla, and is built around the things that go wrong on a Puja night: long queues, losing your friends, and getting home late.

Questions about Durga Puja pandal hopping

What is Chaturthi?

Chaturthi is a free Durga Puja companion app for Kolkata. It has a live pandal map with crowd levels, pandal-hopping routes, group tracking with Puja Squads, and a Guardian Angel safety feature with SOS. It is made by Ravenex Technologies and works in English and Bangla.

How do I find Durga Puja pandals in Kolkata?

Open Pandal Compass for a live map, or browse the list of pandals by area (North, Central, South, Behala, Salt Lake and East Kolkata), each with its address, nearest metro station and directions.

How can I avoid the crowds at Durga Puja pandals?

Check each pandal’s live crowd level before you go, visit popular pandals early in the day or late at night, and keep a backup pandal near every stop. The busiest days are usually Saptami to Navami.

Is it safe to go pandal hopping at night?

Go with a group, share your live location in a Puja Squad, and use Guardian Angel so someone you trust can follow your journey home. In an emergency, SOS shares your location and offers a call to 112, India’s emergency number.

Is Chaturthi free to use?

Yes. Chaturthi is free, and you can use most of it without creating an account.
